Spider-Man: No Way Home review

Ok, this was very good. I still liked Far from Home more though. I also am annoyed at how they keep making Holland's Spidey super serious when Peter is such a joker character. And they clearly know how to pull it cause Homecoming did Pete right and they also have witty lines for Andrew and Tobey, which means it's a choice and I don't get. It made sense in Far from Home, cause it came right after the blip, and it would make sense at the end of No Way Home after a certain tragic incident. But not before. Hopefully they'll get it right again eventually.

No Exit review

Extremely dumb characters doing very stupid things almost from the very beginning of the movie to nearly its last seconds. Every single one of them. Almost everything they do. I mean, how come "heroine" keeps secrets from everyone all the time for no reason at all then decides to tell the truth when asked about where the key to the car was at the end of the movie when she could've bought time because the idiot "villain" nailed the only person that could show him where the key is to the wall. That is just one example.

Not good

This was... not good. There are some of the best action scenes in any movie bar none but none of them are as good or as memorable as the ones in the original trilogy. It's all also very meta, which is something that feels very very un-Matrix-ish if you ask me. I know that the purpose was exactly for it to be different from the original trilogy, but it has very little value on its own. It keeps rehashing scenes and moments from the original movies for nostalgia factor in ways that sometimes do manage to hit, but mostly just made me want to go watch those movies. The overuse of nostalgic moments also cheepened the original scenes devaluing them. The movie also goes exactly as you imagine, there are no surprises, it never strays from the most obvious, boring path. It also, in may scenes, seems cheap, I suppose their budget was lower than the original films and they were saving for that explosive final chase scene. The best ideas are those concerning a division among machines after the ending of the original trilogy with some sentient machines even helping humans. It was a good way to move forward and add to the mythology, but it's just a very small side plot point. This movie in my opinion cheapens the brand and for that I'd say it is bad.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings review

It's a good movie with an underwhelming ending, harmed by Marvel's usual excessive humanization of villains.

Black Widow review

This was a great movie, although the plot could be better. Action scenes, character interactions and the character evolutions and personalities are also very good. Except Natasha, they did flesh her out but revealing a boring iteration of her, especially compared to the comics. Maybe because the new Black Widow will be Yelena Belova and they did manage to make her interesting and likeable to me.

Wonder Woman 1984 review

A great movie, with very good direction, Jenkins manages to created awesome scenes and set pieces. Cheetah is also a great villain. The emotional core is strong too. But the special effects on the whip are pretty bad and the fantasy rules of magic are too lose and contradict themselves many times.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time review

Although REALLY good and REALLY epic and near-perfect, I think this didn't age perfectly. Maybe I'd feel differently about it if I had played the 3DS version. I just think other games have higher highs (and that, of course, is because they're built on OoT's foundation). It's, as per Zelda tradition, filled to the brim with quality content with a lot of variety, depth and charm.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask review

This game is very good. Especially considering the relatively small development time (for Nintendo standards). It is a new game; but the reuse of assets, although expected, really makes it less interesting. Also, the timeloop mechanic, although very unique, can be irritating at times (you lose all your accountable items), but it was very well implemented nonetheless. I can't deny the game is a bit on the short side and has almost no story in it (it's all veeery vague). And in this game a lot of what seems to be side-quests are needed to progress. This, and the stray fairy searches in the dungeons, are exploratory designs that are at constant odds with the time limit. But Termina is a much more unique location than Hyrule.

Head On review

This is good, it has a lot of style, but it's confusing. Alex Dmitriades is very hot, a serviceable actor and very charismatic.

Spider-Man: Far from Home review

This was the best Spiderman movie so far, of all of them. The emotional core is very strong and the scenes are creative. I just wish Peter had more humor. Maybe they were trying to show that Peter was in a low moment after what transpired in Infinity War and Endgame, but not even in the last scene Spidey's his jokey self, come on!
